Discover the co-op shooter-looter that started it all, crammed with content and enhancements! Equip bazillions of guns as one of 4 trigger-happy mercenaries, each with unique RPG skills. Take on the lawless desolate planet Pandora in pursuit of powerful alien technology: The Vault. With new weapons, visual upgrades, all 4 add-on packs and more, play solo or in 4-player split screen co-op!

The Good
  • 4K HDR Visuals update surprising impressive

  • Combat and mechanics loop is tight

  • Gun & loot mechanics fun

  • Good visual feedback for quests despite the repetitive nature of many of them

  • Funny characters, dialogue, world and lore.

  • RPG Elements and abilities add depth to the gameplay especially if combined with like-minded coop buddies.

The Bad
  • Very visual screen tearing ps4 pro for me at least.

  • Could use more voice acting in places and is easy to accidentally skip from just entering a room.

  • Not too much variety in quest activities mitigated by pacing, fast travel and a strong gameplay loop.

The Ugly
  • Re-use of areas without fast travel and loot-full can break some of the games consistent flow.

  • Collision system can get you killed and is criminal at times

The Score

9.5 out of 10 A fun funny frolic with a unique blend of dynamic loot and shoot rpg FPS action & unique style combined with the ability to team play. Likely the game that started the class-based shooter rpg hybrid coop game as we know it!
